PayPlan is developing a new digital debt advice tool for the free advice sector.
Advisers and partners are invited to take part in a short survey to see how this new digital tool will benefit the way that they support clients who are in debt.
Outline of the digital debt advice tool
The vision for the tool is to be used by the free advice sector to provide you with a simple place to:
– download free credit reports
– collect client’s income and expenditure
– populate information with Open Banking
– make an informed decision on the most appropriate next steps for the client

PayPlan invests in its digital journey for both clients and partners. Its PlanFinder tool has changed the way debt advice is being given to clients; with 20% more people now engaging in the debt advice process digitally.
PlanFinder allows clients to complete the full financial assessment, meaning they can finish the process at a time that suits them – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It has proven popular with clients, 45 per cent of which are 25-35 years of age, most likely to work full time and are digitally savvy.
Advisers use a blend of email, live chat and telephone calls to provide advice, depending on the client’s preference. Through offering this blend, we see an increased level of engagement with clients because they are being contacted by their chosen method.
